Profile
Angel Vaccaro, LPC, EMDR Trained
I am a professional counselor with more than 10 years of experience, currently licensed in Pennsylvania and Louisiana and pursuing licensure in New York. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate some of life's most difficult experiences, including trauma, anxiety, depression, eating and body-image concerns, relationship difficulties, grief, addiction, abuse, and major life transitions.
My approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I believe that our experiences shape our stories, but they do not have to define our futures. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms or diagnoses, I work to understand the experiences beneath them and help clients identify patterns, beliefs, and wounds that may be keeping them from living the life they desire.
I utilize evidence-based and trauma-focused approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's individual needs.
I also recognize the important connection between emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. For clients who desire it, I offer the option of integrating Christian principles, prayer, and Scripture into the counseling process. Faith integration is always optional and guided by each client's personal beliefs and comfort level.
My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your story without judgment, develop greater self-understanding and self-compassion, and begin moving toward healing, resilience, and renewed hope.
At Magnolia Springs Counseling, I believe healing is possible and that even after difficult seasons, something new can begin.
Where healing takes root and hope springs forth.

At Magnolia Springs Counseling, I provide a nurturing environment for change. I believe that while your past is significant, it shouldn't restrict your potential. My practice honors the vital link between your mental and spiritual health while respecting your personal values.
For those interested, we can incorporate Christian perspectives through reflective prayer and scripture. This choice is entirely yours and based on your comfort. I view my clients as whole individuals rather than a set of symptoms, focusing on the experiences that have built your character.
Philosophy

Magnolia Springs Counseling is rooted in the Biblical assurance of restoration and growth.
Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal."
Isaiah 43:19, which speaks of new beginnings: "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"
